Impactful Real Estate News

Do You Trust the Ground Hog to Get It Right?

All I can say is WOW!  I am sitting here at my computer typing away, thinking of how grateful I am for the value so many, like you, bring to my real estate business. I’m looking out my office window and there is a sprinkling of clouds and temps forecasted to be over 50 degrees this weekend.  Spring is Springing!

For many across this great country it’s still COLD, grey, and snowy! Others, never see a snowflake all winter long.  It very well could be SUPER COLD today right here in Maryland (but it’s not).  One thing is for sure, this winter season is coming to an end.  It does every year without fail.

Just like the seasons come and seasons go, so do the seasons of life.  I’m sure you have noticed, as I have, the older I get the faster the seasons move by.  I just turned 46 in fact. My wife reminded me last night we have shared 17 of my birthdays together. These “seasons of life” go by so fast, my hope is that you enjoy each one or at least grow from each one.  Yes. Some of life’s seasons will be HOT and others will be COLD, some high and some low.  The lows we want to move by quickly, the highs we want to stay in forever.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 sums up “seasons of life” better than I can…

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

a time to search and a time to give up,

a time to keep and a time to throw away,

a time to tear and a time to mend,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace.

So, what does this have to do with you, your home and real estate?

Well, Spring is a time of action, people busy trying to get things done they could not do during the winter months.  Sort of a renewing of the mind, spirit, of many things GOOD!  Hopefully this special season will bring awesome happenings your way.   Wouldn’t it be great to simply just grab your favorite book along with your favorite lounge chair, set it right down in your favorite spot somewhere, outside or next to your window, while looking out on a beautiful Spring day and simply ‘RELAX”.  Yeah, that would be nice.  My hope is that you will get to something like that on more than one occasion this Spring.  Really enjoy the place you call home! The NEXT season will be here before you know it.

Unfortunately, there are some that will have a Spring Time they would much rather forget.

Like it says in Ecclesiastes, with all the beauty this time of year brings, there is also the ugly for some.  Just down the street from where I’m typing this, Johns Hopkins Children’s Center has a full house of kids fighting for their lives.  For them and their families, the Ground Hog seeing or not seeing its shadow is the furthest thing from their mind. Don’t get me wrong, these families long to see their kids out in the yard playing or riding their bikes – but for now, they are praying this Spring will be a season of healing.

Your Referrals Help the Kids…

As you may have heard, Johns Hopkins Children’s Center is front and center in the fight against nasty diseases that destroy or cut short the lives of Children.  We are thankful to have such a wonderful facility close by, doing such great work to help heal and save young people.  Just last year they helped over more than 92,000 patients bounce back from illnesses such as cancer, spinal cord injuries, even early diagnosis of autism.

Even though we are eager to enjoy Spring, others are simply hoping they can be here to see it.  This is why Our Team has resolved to do what we can to help.

As you know Johns Hopkins Children’s Center depends on sponsorships and donations to help in their work to heal and save the kids.  So we have pledged to donate a portion of our income from every home sale that is referred to us to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. Our goal is to raise $25,000 to help them in their quest to Heal, Save, Cure and Comfort Children under their care.

This is where you can help.

Life moves fast for some and we are eager to make the Home Selling or Home Buying experience a smooth and rewarding one.  Over the last 15 years of helping nearly 2,000 families sell their home and/or buy another, we have met some wonderful, loving, caring people.  People like you!

For anyone considering a move that we help, you can rest assured that not only will they get the award-winning service we are known for, but that a portion of the income we receive from the transaction will go toward a very worthy cause.
